Yoga Classes
Who? Yoga at The Barn is with Tara Merrigan @mygrassrootsyoga Tara, who lives in Coologolite has over 30 years practice and 20 years teaching experience. Where? Yoga classes are held at The Barn Cobargo. 4/60 Princes Hwy Cobargo When? Tuesday morning 8am-9.30am Thursday morning 8am-9.30am and 10am-11.30am What is Iyengar Yoga with Tara? Tara’s classes are a dynamic form of traditional Hatha Yoga known as Iyengar yoga. In Iyengar Yoga, focus and attention to detail is placed on the alignment of the body along with the timings in the asanas. All classes are focused on rebuilding the body, mind and spirit. Iyengar Yoga offers a balance of dynamic and strengthening postures, passive and restorative ones, breathing and relaxation, always with an emphasis on correct alignment. Reiki Workshops
Who? Everyone has the ability, once attuned, to connect with the energy of Reiki, therefore this workshop is for anyone who has a willingness to learn and to heal...and to have some fun doing it. A workshop for younger people (under 16) can be arranged upon request. Where? Reiki Workshops will be held at The Barn Cobargo. Rear of 60 Princes Hwy Cobargo When? TBA workshops run throughout the year What is Reiki? "The Universal Energy of Reiki is a particular frequency that permeates all of life. Although we do not ordinarily perceive this energy on a visual level, it is a measurable frequency that the mystics have known about for thousands of years. Reiki is an ancient Japanese hands-on modality based on the transference of vital energy. Reiki is activated by touch, so applying Reiki is as simple as placing the hands on oneself or another" Lawrence Ellyard The underlying premise of Reiki is that if a persons energy is low they are more likely to feel stressed and unwell leading to physical illness. If a person is vibrating at a higher level the person is more likely to feel balanced, calm and healthy leading to greater wellness. Reiki offers the ability to channel the natural life force energy for yourself or another person (pets or plants) to activate the natural healing processes that will bring the person receiving the healing back into a balanced state of health and wellness. Reiki Sharing Afternoon
Who? This is for those who have been attuned to the Reiki energy at any level. You do not have to have been, nor be, a practitioner of Reiki, the important thing is that you have had an attunement. If you are a practitioner of another form of hands on healing you may also attend with the understanding that the Reiki procedure for hands on healing will be followed. This can easily be taught on the day. Where? The Reiki Sharing will be held at The Barn Cobargo. Rear of 60 Princes Hwy Cobargo Time? 4.30pm sharp. This group will run for 1.5hrs When? Reiki Sharing @ The Barn will be held on the second Sunday of each month What is Reiki Sharing? A Reiki Sharing Afternoon is a time for us to nourish ourselves and also to be of service to others through exchange of the beautiful healing energy of Reiki. We will have two tables set up and in the time allocated each person will both give and receive a healing. For example if there are 10 people present, there will be two people on a table each and both people will have four sets of Reiki healing hands on them for a set amount of time. Then we will rotate, so that each person in the group gets a chance to receive a healing. Is it time for you to reconnect with Reiki after a long time? We would love for you to join us and reconnect with the energy in a safe space with fellow Reiki friends. Please do not let the thought that "it has been too long" or "I have not had enough practice" hold you back from attending. Monthly Womens Circle
Where? The Womens Circle will be held at The Barn Cobargo. Rear of 60 Princes Hwy Cobargo Time? From 2pm sharp. The circle will go for 1.5-1.45hrs When? Womens Circles @ The Barn will be held on the second Sunday of every month. This is a relaxed, easy going, non-judgemental, small group of women. There may be tears, there will probably be laughs and you will definitely leave feeling lighter than when you arrived. What is a Womens Circle? Come and sit with the women of your community This is a time to speak A time to be heard. It is a time to listen. A time to learn. It is a time to let go. A time to feel supported. And a time to enjoy being with women and perhaps, meet some new friends. Who? This is for all women over the age of 18. Please note that this is a closed circle. Whilst we welcome new women into the circle, we ask that should you choose to join us that you are committed to showing up every month and that attendance becomes a priority for you. We ask this so that we can cultivate our individual and group relationship on a strong foundation of trust and safety.
